Wai Kee Chan is the owner and President of WKC Wealth Management LLC. With almost 30 years in the financial services industry, Wai Kee has worked with many individuals, families, business owners, qualified retirement plans and institutions, providing customized financial planning and investment advice.
Wai Kee began her career at Merrill Lynch (1997-2002) at the Honolulu office, transferring to their San Francisco office in 1999 as a Financial Advisor. It was during this early stage of her career that she learned the importance of financial planning and asset allocation & diversification. She then worked for a Registered Investment Advisor (2002-2005), as a Junior Portfolio Manager, creating and implementing asset allocation models for individual investors.
After seven years in the Bay Area, she moved back home to Honolulu and joined Charles Schwab (2006-2013) as Vice President – Financial Advisor, where she oversaw $450 million in Assets under Management. Wai Kee was then recruited to join Morgan Stanley (2013-2025), where she continued to provide financial planning-based investment advice to her clients and achieved the title of First Vice President.
In 2025, Wai Kee founded WKC Wealth Management LLC to continue to do what she loves most - working with her clients, hand-in-hand, to achieve their financial goals.
Wai Kee is a first-generation immigrant from Canton, China, having moved to Honolulu with her family when she was 7 years old. She experienced firsthand how challenging it was for a working family to achieve financial success and strived to do better with her personal and career choices. She has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and later attained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation in 2013. She is fluent in Cantonese and conversational in Mandarin.
Wai Kee is an active Board Member of the Financial Planning Association of Hawaii (Director and Past President) as well as the Junior Achievement of Hawaii (Director, Treasurer and Vice Chair). Both organizations strive to promote financial literacy in our community – a mission that Wai Kee is passionate about personally and professionally.
Wai Kee and her husband Baron love to travel, play pickleball and enjoy spending time with family, especially with her seven nieces and nephews.
